The United Arab Emirates continue their improvement of the power sector to satisfy the growing demand of electricity. In particular, the country has confirmed its ambitious nuclear program despite the Fukushima accident with the construction of four reactors (5600 MW).

The production of refined oil products increased by 4.5% and exceeded pre-crisis level.
