Dynegy has agreed to acquire the power generation companies EquiPower Resources and Brayton Point from Energy Capital Partners (ECP) for $3,450m. It has also agreed to acquire Midwest Commercial Generation Business, from Duke Energy, for $2,800m. The completion of this deal will enhance the asset portfolio of Dynegy and increase its power generation capacity to nearly 26,000 Megawatts (MW).
